SPEAKER_01Alright, today in the zone, we are talking about adding habits to build your business on autopilot. I absolutely love habits. There are three additional episodes about the three easy habits that I will make sure and link to so you have additional resources on habits. But I absolutely love habits because we're all busy in our everyday lives. We only have so much time to build a business, so much time to enjoy life, so much time to work, to spend time with our family, and all the other commitments that we have. We need to make sure that we are working smarter because time is our most valuable asset. But with habits, we don't have to consciously think about them. Some people call it a routine. So if you think about your morning habits or your morning routine, you just do it. You don't have to consciously think about, okay, I need to wake up and then get out of bed and then brush my teeth or take a shower or other things, depends on your order, but you don't have to consciously think about it. Now, sometimes something may slip, but most of the time, the 10 things you have to do before you go out the door or before you start your workday or whatever you have to do, you kind of know how to do them. You don't have to think about every single minute detail. And that's what we want to do is build a routine or build some habits to automatically build our business. Make that on autopilot. And the autopilot reference is when pilots in the air turn on the autopilot. The plane knows where it needs to go. And you don't have to, or the pilot doesn't have to think of every minute detail. Yes, they still need to pay attention, and yes, they are still in charge and piloting the plane for tens or hundreds of people's lives, but they don't have to think of every single minute detail. The autopilot takes care of those things. And when we put our business on autopilot via habits, we don't have to consciously think about building our business. Our mind says, okay, here are the skills, here is the motivation, here is the mindset, let's build our business. We don't have to consciously think about what to say. When we have the skills and we've created a habit on implementing the skills, we don't have to think about, oh, if someone asks, what do I say? We don't have to consciously think about motivation. It limits our fear, it just builds it. And I love, love, love habits. But how or what habits do we need to add? And it can be overwhelming at first. I get it. You're thinking, oh my goodness, I have to add all these habits. How am I going to do it? Well, simple. We just start with one and we add the next one. We have to be a little bit more proactive in our business because most of the time we're reactive, reactive in so many things in our life. We're reactive of, oh my goodness, this bill came in the mail. Now I got to pay this bill versus let's just put it on auto draft. And when you put things on auto draft, you don't have to think about paying bills. And we're so reactive as far as, oh my goodness, if I don't do this, I won't get paid. Or if I don't do this, then we won't be able to afford the vacation. Let's be proactive, but not have to think about every single proactive detail, not have to think of every single skill and mindset about our business. We need to be on the offense, not the defense. And yes, it's overwhelming at first, but let's get started very small and something we could do right away today. And guess what? You're already doing it. The first habit in the three easy habits, and I don't want to spend too much time because there's additional episodes that already have this information, but the first habit you're already doing is personal development. And you can start this if you're listening to this episode when it comes out in December. You can start this right away, and you can make it a goal to make sure that you do it throughout December and every single day in January is to listen to something or read something every single day. I know I've I find it easier to do it in the morning just because if I do it in the morning, it kind of sets my day up for success. You do whatever works best for you. But the hardest part, and the reason why people sometimes have an issue with this is they don't set themselves up the night before. In other words, if you're reading a book and you want to read 10 minutes a day or one chapter a day, put that book in your breakfast area. Put that book wherever you go before you leave the house, before you get to your workday. Make sure it has the bookmark of where you want to start. So you have to think about okay, what book should I read? And where is it? No, where was I in this chapter? Now make it very easy. Set yourself up the night before, and chances are when you set yourself up the night before, you're probably motivated to read a little bit more. Or if you're using audios like myself, whether it's the podcast app like here, or it's Audible or BookFunnel, whatever audio platform that you like to use, have it queued up. Make a playlist, have that audio ready. So all you have to do is hit play. You don't have to think about okay, what should I listen to today? And what what chapter am I on? No, just make it super easy, set itself up the night before so you don't have to think one less thing you have to think about the next morning. Again, there's additional information about personal development, then I'll make sure to put a link to these episodes, including the second habit, which is one new contact a day. If you start doing these every single day, we don't have to think about it. And if we know what to say or what kind of rapport-building skill, well, that's the next habit that we want to add is skill development. Even if we just start with the four core skills, you can master one skill per week, or you can master one skill per month just by listening or reading the book and implementing and practicing and teaching it to others. That's the way to mastering skills. Skill mastery doesn't come by reading, it comes from implementing. It doesn't come from listening, it comes from implementing. So we have to think about okay, if I can learn one new skill every single week, or even let's go one new skill every single month. That's 12 skills of mastery throughout the year versus last year, which think about how many skills that we mastered last year. If it's a couple, awesome. If it's a bunch, even better. But let's focus on the future. What can we do this month right away to add one more skill we can master? And again, you're probably thinking, oh my goodness, I'm overwhelmed. Well, let's start it, let's make it easy. What if we just did personal development for the month of January? So you have it down, and yes, we miss a day, life goes on. It's not about being perfect, it's about being active more days than inactive. And after a couple days and after a couple weeks, it just becomes automatic. We don't have to think about it. Same with making new contacts, and I'll I'll add a link to that episode as well. Making new contacts every single day. We don't have to think about okay, we've mastered that skill. Let's habit stack, let's add another habit. Okay, skill development. What skill do we need to learn next? And let's learn that skill every single day. And if you don't know what skill to learn next, well, I would recommend starting with the four core skills. And you could build an amazing business just by learning four skills. Is it easier if you learn additional skills? Absolutely, but just by learning the four core skills will make a huge difference. So, okay, I'm gonna learn rapport this month. I'm gonna learn icebreakers the next month, I'm gonna learn closing and pre-closing the next month, I'm gonna learn presentation skills the next month. Even if you just do that, you are gonna be ahead of pretty much every single person that's obviously joined and done nothing, but you're gonna get you're gonna be ahead of 99% of the people in this industry just by mastering those four core skills. And there's so many other habits that you can add, and once you add them, you don't have to think about it. There's so many people that are building on social media, there's so many episodes I have on social media posting, reaching out, asking questions, engaging people, not just scrolling, but being active. In fact, I think it was a couple of episodes ago, I'll put a link to that episode as well with Barb Pickock, where she's talking about engaging with people. Doesn't matter what company they're in, just cheering people on and then posting. It's not about posting and spamming, it's about engaging people in your friend circle and then posting positive content. You could also add, of course, follow-up. If there are anybody that you need to follow up with, most of the time, what happens? We don't, because we don't know what to say, we haven't mastered the skill. But if we just follow up with one or two people every single day, kind of depends on how many people you have to follow up with. It makes a huge difference at the end of the week, at the end of the month, and of course at the end of the year. Another habit that people love to do is exercise. Now, it can be overwhelming, of course, but just start small. Talk to your doctor if you need to, if you have an existing condition, and what can I do that's I could do easily that makes a huge difference to get my blood flow going and it's going to set myself up. I'm gonna be a little bit more positive person, have a little bit more energy. When you have a little bit more energy, of course, you're gonna be able to talk to more people. It's not as exhausting, there's no fear involved when you have that motivation. I have some people that love to journal. Now, when you write, sometimes your mind obviously thinks faster than you can write. So some people type, some people speak in audio and just record their voice, some people record videos, some people record videos and put it up on private on YouTube, so it's just for them, and they could rewatch their journaling or their video journaling or their vlog, even if it's even though it's private and personal, they have that up there streaming in the magical cloud. So they have that. Some people love to do that every single day, every single week. Some people do every month, sometimes it's the end of the year. Some people love to do that, and by doing that, it kind of takes a lot of pressure off of you. Again, do whatever works for you. Some people, especially at the beginning of a year, people always, oh, I'm gonna lose weight, or I'm going to eat healthier. You know, that seems to be a big thing. And some people go all out and go all crazy, and then some people say, Okay, I'm just gonna make a small habit change, I'm gonna substitute for a healthier side, or I'm going to the unhealthy side, I'm going to cut in half and I'm gonna take half of it home. Now, I don't have any certification, I'm definitely not a diet expert, but a good rule of thumb is how will I feel after I eat this? Now, we all eat or drink something that we shun it every once in a while. I get that, but for the majority of the time, you think, okay, if I eat this, how am I going to feel? Okay, maybe for some of the time or the majority of the time, I want to eat something or drink something healthier because if I feel better, I'll have more energy, I'll have more mental clarity, I will be able to learn and of course talk to more people and just have a better mindset. But here is where it comes together. It doesn't matter how many habits we add. Again, I'd like to start small and do one habit for a week or one habit for a month, whatever works best for you. Where it all comes together is when we add accountability. Being accountable for any activity, whether it's building a habit or anything in our lives, if we have something that we're accountable for, the odds of success are exponential. Now that doesn't mean we have to be perfect. If you're perfect, congratulations. But if you're adding a habit, let's let's start with personal development, and we want to okay, I'm gonna do 31 days in January, and we only make it to 20. Well, that's 20 more days than nothing. So just by being accountable, not being perfect, being accountable to somebody, just by saying, Hey, I completed my task today, whether you send them a quick email. I like to do texting because most people have their phone, and you just text somebody when you've completed your task. It makes a huge difference being accountable for somebody. You can be accountable, of course, for your upline, because your upline would say, Wow, they're doing this every single day. I guarantee they're gonna love getting that text or that email every single day. Hey, I did this. I'm on my way to skill mastery, I'm on my way to personal development mastery. You can be accountable to your spouse or a friend that's not in your business just by saying, I'm going to do this, I need an accountability partner every single day. I will text you after it's done. It will make a huge difference in your success. So think about what one habit can you start today? What one habit can you start tomorrow? Try not to start at the beginning of the year. If you have to, that's okay. But at the same time, you're listening to this podcast episode, you're wanting to build a bigger business. What habit can you start right now or tomorrow morning if you want to set yourself up? And if you say, okay, I already know some of these, what other habits can you do? Or what other skills can you learn to propel your business on autopilot? And if you're just getting started again, I recommend the four core skills. I will also put a link to the four core skills, and I'll also put a link to, of course, the Happy Network Marketer free ebook. That way everybody can get at least a taste of the core skills and something people can implement right away just from the free ebook. I'll make sure to put a link there. And yes, I know it can be overwhelming, but we all have to start somewhere. Think of one habit you can start right away. As always, I hope you received value from this episode. If you know someone that could use this information, please share it with them. But more importantly, looking forward to sharing another episode with another successful networker next week.
