SPEAKER_00If you're looking to create a big business in a few months to a year by only making a few habit changes, this episode is for you. Quick question: What were you doing a year ago today? Doesn't matter what day you're listening to this episode. If it's the middle of June, pick a middle of June last year. What were you doing a year ago today? Is there anything significantly different in your life or in your finances from last year, a year ago today? For some people, it's good, and for some people, it's bad. But most of the time it's around the same. So if your life's better than last year, hey, congratulations. Maybe you have received a raise or you started to build your business or you're you received a leader or sponsored a leader, I should say. Or maybe it's something completely different, like you had a child or a grandchild. Congratulations. Or it's just anything in your life that's better, that's that's a win. And of course, it's a win if it's all the same because we're live today. But for some people, it's gotten worse, it's gotten bad. And if that's the case, let's turn it around. But if it's the same, again, we're happy to be alive. But if it's the same, would you like it to change? Would you like things to be significantly or just partially different than right now? And if the answer is yes, of course, it probably is because you're still listening to the episode. What exactly would you like to change this time next year? Is it let's just go with our business? Is it $50 a month? Is it an extra $500 a month? Is it an extra $5,000 a month? Is it just to be able to trim down some of your hours, trim down some of the stress financially? Write that down right now and put a date on it. Because once you write it down, then you're like, oh, I have to do something about it. That's step number one. And we always have to think, okay, what's our plan? Okay, I want to build my business. Let's say you just want an extra $500 a month. It's going to relviate some stress in your life. You know you can do it because you have a whole year to do it, but you know you have to be consistent and you go, okay, sometimes we do things and sometimes we don't do things. And if you're having a little bit of motivation issue, you have to think about what are your really what are really are your options besides your business. Most other options to earn extra money take a lot more time or a lot more money. So if you a second job would obviously take a lot more time versus building your business on your phone in between uh jobs and commuting and everything else that you do, or it takes a lot more money. So, yeah, traditional business, yeah, it's not gonna cost you $200 to $1,000 to get started. It's definitely gonna cost you $200,000, et cetera, to get started. And not to say that other options are bad. In fact, if you want to do Uber Eats or Uber, or I saw we we get a lot of uh Amazon drivers, especially during some of the peak times, like back to school and especially over the holidays, where there's Amazon drivers, they have the Amazon uniform, but they're driving their personal car just to make some extra money. And I talked to someone, I guess it was about two weeks ago, that they were actually Amazon drivers to make extra money, but that's not their be-all end-all. Like they were actually building their business, but they needed a second job to create that second income, but they want to replace that second income with network marketing. So I'm I'm not doubting or putting down any forms of making money, but you have to realize eventually you realize it's gonna take a lot more time or a lot more money with other options. Our business is very little compared to everything else out there because Uber, Amazon, that takes a lot of time. It's probably a lot of money because it's wear and tear on your car. But either way, what we found out is it's hard to just go all out and build your business. For some people, their backs against the wall. I think was it the previous episode? I was talking to Derek Carpenter, like he didn't have a choice. And a lot of times, some people, that's what puts them into action is when they don't have a choice. But for most of us that our backs aren't against the wall, we just need to do some small activities, some small habits, and they're gonna compound and build that extra income. So if I just use the example of $500 per month that you want, yeah, maybe $10 a first month, and maybe $20 a second month, it could be go back to $5 a third month. But if you keep doing those small activities and teach your team, they start to compound. There's the old example of a penny compounded every day for a month. I believe at the 30th of the month, it's over a couple million or like five million dollars just by a simple penny doubled every day for a month. Now, our business isn't going to explode that way for most of us. And if it does, congratulations. A lot of times things don't double every single day. They could double in a month, etc. But it just kind of shows that the the small input, the small investment starts to double, starts to at least compound a little bit. Or I know I was hearing Tony Robbins, he talks about playing 18 holes of golf and betting 10 cents a hole, and to make it interesting, they'll they're gonna double it. And of course, that compounds as well. So it doesn't even have to be 30, it could be you know 18, etc. But when people really understand compounding, they don't even teach compounding interest in most schools, which is crazy. The rule of 72, it's completely out the window. But when you really understand compounding, it's amazing. It will keep you up at night. You know, if you if you're looking at creating a retirement, you can just literally put in $25,000, a 10% interest, never add anything to it, and in 40 years it's over a million dollars, which is crazy. If you want to set your kids up, do that. Just put $25,000 in a retirement fund, tell them don't touch it in 40 years. Hey, they can retire with over a million dollars. Hopefully they they have some responsibility to keep adding to it. But either way, it just shows the power of compounding. But what we want to do is obviously we want to add to our retirement, but we want to invest in our skill set with compounding growth in our skill set. So we don't have to wait 40 years. That doesn't mean don't invest. I mean, I'll put a reference or put a link to the episode. My last episode with Tony Mealy, he does amazing talking about how our network marketing earnings, hey, invest a little bit and that money will work for you, which is pretty cool. But right away, our skills can compound and our activities can come compound right away in our business. But the big question is, what can we do today, right now? It doesn't matter if you're listening to this episode in the morning, afternoon. I'll even give you an option if you're listening to this right now, because we want to make a change and something every single person can do right away. If we look at the big picture and we want people to purchase our product or service or join our business, we have to get people asking about our business. Pretty simple. So we have to have train words for rapport and icebreaker. Of course, I'll I'll link up the episodes where you can get more information about rapport and icebreakers. And then if they're interested, we need to have some sort of, you know, a little bit of a pre-close, but more importantly, a conversation, which is disguised as a presentation. So we need people to talk to, something to say, and then a conversation. Pretty simple. It sounds simple, but it's really not simple because if we don't have people to talk to, there's no way we're gonna get an icebreaker or rapport building, and we're definitely not gonna get a conversation. So the big thing is well, how do I create more contacts or how do I get more contacts in my business so I can at least have a conversation that may lead to an icebreaker? And we have to back up and go, Great, I see the motivation. Like we need to have these conversations, but when I go out into the real world, my intent is not to drop an icebreaker, my intent is not to create a conversation presentation. My intent is not to see if they're interested in our business. My intent is just to go out and have what we call no agenda conversations, like it may or may not lead towards a business conversation. So let's just have no agenda conversations. If we just go out and have no agenda conversations, life is easy. And I get it, you may be shy, but uh we always talk about if you if you're super shy, talk to the people that are paid to talk to you, people that are being paid. So when you go to get groceries, have conversations, again, casual conversations with the cashier. If you have go to the same coffee shop every single day or most days a week, have conversations with them. Again, have no agenda conversations. Then our life is just easy. And if you focus on no agenda conversations, business just pops up. Well, now that's great, but how can we improve our ratio where people are asking about our business? Again, I'm gonna reference the icebreakers episode, so you have some good icebreakers, and also reference an episode where we talk about indirect questions. You know, I'm just curious, do you know anybody that? And then drop in your icebreaker. So it makes it super easy to talk to every single person right away. And that's great. We want to make a difference today, but if you're listening to this episode at night, you're probably not gonna go out and just have no agenda conversations. So you can have online no agenda conversations. So just pull up any social media app or messaging app that you haven't talked to somebody in a couple months. It could be a couple years, it doesn't really matter. And you can have no agenda online conversations. And of course, you can copy and paste this. You know, don't copy and paste this to 50 people. I'm sure the the messaging app will not like this. But if you just copy and paste some simple phrases, it may lead to a conversation. So if you just type in, I'm just curious what's new with you, and send it to somebody, well, that's okay. You probably want to add a little bit more personal touch to it. Hey, I'm just catching up to people that I used to work with. I'm just curious what is new with you. Hey, it's been a long time. I miss when our kids would play together. I'm just curious what is new with you. Again, we're just going out asking questions. Some people will reply, some people will be dry, some people are kind of wondering if we're gonna pitch them. Who knows? It doesn't matter. But if we just go out with a no agenda conversation look, it makes things super easy. Some people, of course, nine out of ten people will ask, hey, etc. etc. Here's what's new with me. Oh, what is new with you? Now, if they don't ask, it's okay. Some people won't even reply. It's all right. But the people that do reply, here's a simple three-step formula that every single person can use right away. Step number one is talk about something with a heartbeat, whether it's kids, family, spouse, dog, pet, either way, they say that's step number one. So, hey, kids are going back to school in a couple months. Uh, kids are excited for our vacation. Hey, the family is is doing great. Oh, you know, my my spouse, my wife is uh loving working from home, whatever. Uh, or the dog is the same crazy dog it's always been. Just some simple information about something with a heartbeat. And then you talk about your day-to-day work. So, whatever you do on a regular basis to create a regular income outside of our network marketing business. So the work is, and then you say something very simple, not too negative, just informational. Hey, work is the same. Work is work is boring, but I'm happy to get paid. Work is challenging, but it's definitely rewarding. Work is so much easier now that I could work from home a couple days a week. Work is crazy because the commute is ridiculous. Whatever, just some information about work. Nothing too big, nothing too positive, nothing too negative, just informational. And step three is the most important part, and business is you could also say and my business is, but I would just say, and business is, and this is where you kind of type in not over the top, but and business is starting to be fun, and business is rocking, and business is rewarding, and business is keeping me sane, and business is definitely my future. So let's let's put it all together, kind of give you an example. They ask, what is new with you? Hey, kids are excited to go back to college and get out of the house. Work is a paycheck, but I'm happy to be employed, and business is definitely my future. Now, some people will reply to that, some people will be curious about it, some people could care less. It doesn't matter. We're just going out and getting no agenda online conversations, and it's not, and business is rocking, you gotta get in, the timing is right. It's not a it's not a pushy presentation, it's just information just to get the ball rolling. Some people will ask, some people will forget we're in business, some people you just never know. And then it's a time to to drop in our icebreaker or enter a question. I'm just curious, do you know anybody that or I help people that or I show people how to? You gotta have those icebreakers ready, and again, I will link to the episode. Again, be okay if they don't ask. We're just going out there. People love when we ask about themselves. People love when we ask about them. Go out with no agenda, it makes things so much easier. And things start to compound when you do them on a regular basis. We talk about the three easy habits. I'll put links to the three easy habit episodes as well. The the big one is just personal development. The fact that you're listening to an episode shows that you want to make a difference in your business. Just make sure you do something every single day. It doesn't have to be big. And if you want to kick it up and you're like, I listen to something every single day, well, listen to something and read something, or listen to something twice a day, or listen to it twice. It doesn't really matter. It's all about consistency, and that's what leads to exponential growth. Again, I hope you receive value in this episode. If you know somebody that could use this information, please share the episode with them. But more importantly, looking to share another episode with another successful networker next week.
